Stonewall at 50: Stories of Resistance and Resilience

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots in 2019, we partnered with photographer Robin Hammond to share the stories of 4 LGBTQI communities in the U.S. This was an extension of Robin’s long-term project, Where Love is Illegal, which documents stories of LGBTQI discrimination and survival around the world.

For this story, Mallory worked with Robin and a team to collect portraits and stories from LGBTQI seniors, LGBTQI youth experiencing homelessness, and trans women of color, to create a multimedia experience on Google AMP.
