The Looming Crisis Over Water

A story multiple years in the making, photographer Brendan Hoffman traveled to Tibet, India and Pakistan to document the sacred importance of the Indus River from source to sea. Spanning all three countries, the story looks at the river’s role in the spirituality, climate change and the lives of those who depend on it. This story was one of the features included in a single topic issue on the Himalaya Mountain range and Mount Everest.
